DU Admissions 2019: Delhi University Releases Second Cut-Off, Check Top College Wise List Online at du.ac.in

The second DU merit list sees a marginal deep in marks required for admissions to undergraduate courses. Most of the North Campus colleges closed admission for BA Political Science courses for the general category candidates.

The coveted University of Delhi had released the second cut-off list for various courses as the DU admissions 2019 process is on. Students who applied for the DU-affiliated colleges can check the second merit list, which is available online at du.ac.in. All the qualified candidates must note that the admission based on the second cut-off list will begin from today, July 4 and continue till July 6, 2019. The students are further suggested to meet the requirements mentioned in the cut-off list and proceed with their DU admissions 2019 formalities.

The Delhi University’s first cut off list was released on June 28, 2019. According to the varsity, the second merit list sees a marginal deep in marks required for admissions to undergraduate courses. Again, most of the North Campus colleges closed admission for BA Political Science courses for the general category candidates. In addition, a few other DU colleges have also closed admission for courses like Psychology and English honours for unreserved category.

DU Admissions 2019: Top College Cut-Offs 

  • Hindu College: The authorities closed admissions for Honours courses for English, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit and Sociology for the unreserved category with 99% cut-off in the first merit list. Reportedly, a drop of 0.5 to 1 per cent was announced in reserved categories by the Hindu College for all the above courses.
  • Lady Shri Ram College: They closed admissions for all courses apart from BA English Honours.
  • Shri Ram College of Commerce and Science: For the general category, the college closed admissions in Economic Honours, bringing down the cut-off to 1 per cent in the second list. In DU second cut off, SRCC has asked for 98% for B.Com Honours in general category.
  • Miranda House: The College has reportedly admitted the highest number of students in the past three days, only based on the first admission list. With second DU cut-off 2019, Miranda House, has closed the admission to many Arts courses. But BA Honours in Economics is still available at 97.75% cut off, BA Honours in Geography at 97.75% and BA Honours in Philosophy is open at 94.50% cut off.
  • Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College: ARSD is offering BA Honours in Economics at 96%, BCom at 94% and BCom Honours at 96%.

The general trend of DU Admission 2019 shows only a marginal decrease of 0.25 to 0.5 per cent in the second cut-off list as compared to the first. More than 3 lakh candidates have applied for the undergraduate admission through DU official web portal for the new 2019-20 academic year.
