The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the examination dates for the posts of Junior Engineer and Assistant Manager. The computer based online examination is scheduled to commence from April 9 and will continue till April 20. DMRC will conduct the exam for its 1,896 vacancies. The interested candidates will have to appear two papers and the qualified ones will be invited for Group Discussion and later for a Personal Interview. The recruitment process in DMRC is fully computerized and the selection is based on the merit of the candidates. Here are the important details that an aspirant must know while appearing for the DMRC examination:
DMRC Recruitment 2018 Admit Card
The admit cards for DMRC examination has been released on March 26 on its official website. Applicants can visit delhimetrorail.com to download the same. The candidates must take a print out as they need to show it to the examiner to sit for the exam.
Paper Pattern of DMRC Recruitment 2018
The computer based online examination is the first stage of the DMRC recruitment process. The paper will be comprised of two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates are further suggested to be careful while answering to the tricky questions, as each wrong answer carries negative marking.
Paper 1
1. Paper 1 will be of multiple choice objective type questions.
2. The paper will consist of a total 120 questions carrying equal marks and candidates will have to answer them within one and a half hour.
3. The questions will be in English and Hindi; each portion will cover general awareness, general intelligence and reasoning, quantitative aptitude and knowledge of the respective discipline.
Paper 2
1. Paper 2 will be of multiple choice objective type questions.
2. The paper will consist of a total 60 questions carrying equal marks.
3. This paper will be on General English to gauge the English language proficiency of the candidates.
Selection Procedure of DMRC Recruitment 2018
Once the candidates qualify the computer based online examination, they will have to undergo a Group Discussion and the final stage would be a Personal Interview.
The DMRC was registered on May 3, 1995 under the Companies Act, 1956 with equal equity participation of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and the Central Government to implement the dream of construction and operation of a world-class Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS). It has constructed a massive network of 252 km with 185 stations in a record time. The DMRC today has 266 train sets of four, six and eight coaches and currently more than a hundred trains of six coach and 60 trains of eight coach are operational.
