Delhi University Will Release 5th Cut-off Lists for Admissions in UG Courses 2018–19 Today at du.ac.in
The individual colleges have started publishing its DU 5th cut-off list on their respective websites. Out of 56,000 seats in Delhi University, 50,000 have been filled by students.
Delhi University is set to release its fifth cut-off list today, July 11 for admissions to about 12 percent remaining seats in its affiliated colleges. Once the lists are out, the applicants will be able to check their status on DU's official website; du.ac.in. The compiled list for various Undergraduate Courses (UG) will be uploaded by Delhi University later tonight. Meanwhile, the individual colleges have started publishing its DU 5th cut-off list on their respective websites. Out of 56,000 seats in Delhi University, 50,000 have been filled by students.
Following the fourth DU cut-off 2018 which was released on July 6, only 6,000 seats are remaining. Media reports are claiming that Hindu College had no vacancies left after the 4th cutoff admissions for the academic year 2018-19. This year, the varsity received as many as 3 lakh applicants from across the country to take admissions in various colleges under Delhi University. Till now, maximum seats have been filled in Bachelor of Arts programme with 8,612 out of 10,172 seats. In Bachelor of Commerce, 5,137 admissions are done against a total of 6,483.
While most of the colleges are done with popular courses, students still hope for better news in the 5th cut-off list. Soon after the declaration of board exam results, the University had asked colleges to release realistic cut-offs so that admission process does not continue for too long. The students have the option to change their course or college but will have to pay a cancellation fee to confirm the same.
So far, Sri Aurobindo College, Satyawati College, Swami Shraddhanand College, Ramjas College and PGDAV College (Evening) have released their 5th cut-off list. Other affiliated colleges such as Hindu. Hansraj, LSR, Daulat Ram are expected to release their cut-off lists anytime soon.
