Common Entrance Test 2018 Application Procedure Begins: How To Fill In the CET Form Online
Candidates can commence with the procedure at the official website kea.kar.nic.in. The examination is scheduled to be held from April 18 and April 19 at various test centres across the state.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has begun the online application process for Common Entrance Test (CET) 2018. Candidates can commence with the procedure at the official website kea.kar.nic.in. Not just from Karnataka but aspirants across India can apply for the examinations. CET is conducted for the admissions to professional undergraduate courses Engineering, Technology, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani and Homeopathy (AYUSH), Architecture, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry programmes in the states of Karnataka. The candidates must apply on or before 26th February 2018 by 5:30 pm.
The examination is scheduled to be held from April 18 and April 19 at various test centers across the state. Biology will be conducted on April 18 from 10:30 am to 11:50 am and students will sit for Mathematics on the same day between 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. On the other hand, on April 19, candidates will appear for Physics from 10:30 am to 11:50 pm and Chemistry from 2:30 pm to 3:50 pm. The candidates will further have to undergo a Kannada language test to establish the ability to speak, read and write which will be conducted on April 20 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
How to fill in the application online?
1. Visit the official website kar.nic.in.
2. Click on the link that says, ‘CET 2018’.
3. It will lead you to another link ‘CET 2018 Online Application’.
4. Fill in the required information.
5. Read it twice and submit the same to complete your registration procedure.
6. Take a print out for future purposes.
According to the official notification, the Karnataka CET 2018 will be based on First and Second Pre-University Course (PUC) syllabi as prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka.
For admissions to Medical and Dental courses, an aspirant has to clear National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 which is organized by the Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE). Students who are interested to pursue Architecture courses must sit for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Paper 2 or for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) organized by the Council of Architecture.
