The officials informed that a total of 5600 calls have been received by the board in a span of 21 days. The administration further shared that the highest number of calls are received from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Madhya Pradesh.
The season of board exams has arrived, and students are all well prepared as well as little tensed since it is believed to be one life changing opportunity. Whether the candidates are studying or even taking a break from it, the burden of exams remain static. Some cannot concentrate while others feel that information are sort of leaking out from the memory. Well there are a lot and not everyone can cope up with the problems alone, especially when the board exams are knocking your mind. Taking all the strains into consideration, the Central Board of Education (CBSE) has come up with centralised helpline number that began with counselling services from February 1.
The officials informed that a total of 5600 calls have been received by the board in a span of 21 days. According to media reports, counsellors from the board’s helpline said that memory loss, lack of concentration, not being able to cope are some of the problems that students who are about to take board exams are experiencing. They seek help to overcome with their anxiety levels. The administration further shared that the highest number of calls are received from Uttar Pradesh (UP), followed by Madhya Pradesh. Yes, the same helpline number received maximum calls from non-CBSE students in UP. It is not surprising because recently the UP Boards was in news when over 5.05 lakh candidates skipped on the second day of the exam fearing as the state government increased surveillance restricting mass cheating. The counsellors received calls from students who are writing the board exams for the first time.
The CBSE Examination for class 10th students will begin on March 5 and ends on April 5. And for class 12th the exams will start on March 5 and ends on April 12. The helpline number are for students who are writing class 10 and 12 board examinations. The board will be providing psychological counselling services to students at the time of preparation as well as during the exams to help them defeat the exam-stress. Also, the counsel received calls from both parents and students related to the choice of career. The counselling services will continue till April 13. The helpline is operational from 8 am to 10 pm. The board has also assigned four special educators who are taking calls from specially-abled students and their parents. This step has been vastly appreciated since students are always in need of a comfort guide.
