The world has gone digital, and government initiatives to make it easily accessible to every section of the society especially the students have been very evident recently. With almost all the educational board in India upholding digital approaches, their strive to reach as many people has hugely been lauded. Above all, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been appreciated and awarded for various digital initiatives undertaken recently. The board has now Digital India Awards 2018 as its latest achievements under the ‘Exemplary Online Service’ category for its online initiatives at cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and other affiliated websites. The Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad conferred the award to the board. CBSE Launches Exam Centre Locator App.
CBSE’s recent digital initiatives include Digi-locker, centre locator app, geo-tagged time-based tracking and monitoring of confidential materials, etc. The board further hosts various educational materials and results on its official and affiliated websites. CBSE’s IT team accepted the award on behalf of the Chairperson, Anita Karwal. Soon after the latest achievement, the board took to Twitter. CBSE Revises Class 10, Class 12 Question Paper Format!

The Digital India Awards aim at encouraging Government initiatives which have made significant contributions towards the implementation of e-Governance and shown an exemplary and innovative approach to achieve administrative efficiency and transparency. Central Ministries, Departments, Offices, Institutions, State Government Departments, Offices, Institutions, District Administrations and Indian Missions Abroad are eligible for the award. As per the organisers, the Exemplary Online Service Award facilitates those ICT based services by the Central/ State Government Department which have displayed exemplary citizen focus, reach, scope and innovation in approach.
