The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date of online registration for University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) which is to be held in July 8, 2018. Aspirants can now apply for online till April 12 11:59 pm and the last day to make the payment have been extended to April 13. The official notification reads, “Application Form Submission date has been extended till 12 April 2018 11:59 PM and Fee submission upto 13 April 2018 11:59 PM.” Interested candidates can finish their application procedure by visiting cbsenet.nic.in.
Earlier, the last date to apply for UGC NET was April 5. The decision to extend the date has been taken by the officials as students were unable to finish their registration procedure because the site was not responding. Many students in fact took to Twitter to express their disappointment for not being able to register for the CBSE UGC NET 2018.

After completing only 3 steps the server goes down...

Candidates who will clear the exam will be eligible for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and also for the posts of Assistant Professor. NET will be conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects at 91 selected cities across the country. The candidates can make corrections (if any) to their already submitted applications from April 25 to May 1. The Admit Card for CBSE NET 2018 will be available to aspirants to download from the official website in June 2018. The dates for the same shall be announced by the board on its official website soon after the successful completion of the application procedure.
