The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced in a recent release to hold re-examination. After various reports of question paper leak, CBSE decided to conduct re-exam of Mathematics for class 10 and Economics for class 12. However, the re-examination dates are yet to be decided by the board and is expected to share within a week. The class 10 Math paper was held on March 27, whereas, class 12 Economics were conducted on March 26, 2018.
“The board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With the view to uphold the sanctity of the Board Examinations and in the interest of the fairness to the students, the Board has decided to reconduct the examinations in the following subjects. Dates for fresh examinations and the other details shall be hosted on the CBSE website within a week,” said the statement released by the Board with the signature of the Controller of Examinations.
While in an earlier statement, the board denied any leak of question paper. The board stated, “All the seals have been found intact at all the centres. During the process of examination, however, at local level, some miscreants have tried to play mischief by circulating messages through WhatsApp and social media to disturb the sanctity of the examinations.”
The sudden action by the board has created a hustle among the students. It is recommended to all to stay calm and keep a check on the official website of the board as the dates shall be announced soon.
