The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently conducting the class 10 and class 12 board examinations at many centres across India and overseas. The board has recently gained much appreciation for improving its online platform for the benefit of the students. In its latest student-friendly initiative, CBSE has released a comprehensive list of courses for the candidates to pursue after class 12. The list available on the official website; cbse.nic.in includes a brief on the name of the college, eligibility criteria and other related information to that course. According to media reports, the board has included a total of 113 courses, and their main aim is to generate enough curiosity in the child to want to explore further on the scope, possibilities, avenues, etc. for each of these courses. This is indeed an earnest effort of the educational board to guide the students while scouting for the accurate choice of course to pursue higher education. In an official statement by The Indian Express, CBSE chairperson, Anita Karwal was quoted as saying, “As a sequel to the ongoing initiatives, CBSE has prepared a compendium of suggestive courses for students which will help them get information about various course choices, institutes and combinations available in higher education beforehand after class 10 itself.” IIT Roorkee Reschedules JEE Advanced 2019 Due to Lok Sabha Elections.
CBSE’s list of all the courses strives to cover the traditional, new age and popular courses provided by them. As per the board, there are an estimated 900 universities and over 41,000 colleges in the country providing higher education. This set of courses intends to create awareness among the students and to facilitate them while choosing for the right career choice.
