CBSE Paper Leak Fallout: Board Likely to Start Sending Question Paper in CDs to Exam Centres on Examination Day

Sources close to CBSE reveal the panel recommendations which stated that the board is likely to send questions papers in CDs to the exam centres on the day of exams.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are done with their exam results announcement and now the board is set to come out with suggestions to curb question paper leaks. In a major improvement to CBSE paper leak fallout, sources close to the board reveal the panel recommendations which stated that the officials are likely to send questions papers in CDs to the exam centres on the day of exams. CBSE officials further informed that the question papers will not be kept in the banks as per earlier traditions. The Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry reportedly are planning for some serious majors to curb such malpractices during the board examinations.

This year, CBSE had to undergo with various controversies. Following the tension of question paper leaks, the board decided to hold a retest because of which the students came down to streets to protest against the decision. Disappointment ruled the evening for those who took their board exam.  Later, class 12 students had to sit for a re examination for economics paper. In order to protect the healthy examination environment and to avoid such circumstances, CBSE on June 4 informed that the board exam season will be reduced from the current seven weeks to around a month. The committee has also suggested to a double coded system for exam papers. However, in yesterday’s meeting the officials informed that the question papers will be printed at the centre itself. But close sources to CBSE on May 5 revealed that the board exam questions will come in CDs on the day of exam only.

If the above suggestions come into effect, it could prove to be major development to control misconducts during the season of exam. The upcoming students can fully concentrate on their studies without bothering about any mismanagements from the board. Meanwhile, the HRD formed a committee and asked the members to go through all the aspects so that question papers reach the examinees without being meddled. Further reports on recommendations are awaited.
