CBSE NEET 2018 Results Declared at cbseneet.nic.in; Cut Off is Lower than Last Year, Know Category Wise Marks

Reportedly nearly 7 lakh students have qualified the medical entrance exam for admissions to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery courses.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 results today on their official website. All the candidates can now check their scores online with their registration number and date of birth at cbseneet.nic.in. Along with the results, the cut off for both general and reserved category has also been released by the conducting board. Reportedly nearly 7 lakh students have qualified the medical entrance exam for admissions to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses. However, the NEET cut off is lower than last year.

According to the official release by CBSE it has been identified that the cut off for NEET 2018 has reduced comparatively. For candidates under the general category, the cut off is 119 where the qualifying score ranges from 119 to 691, out of total 720. And the remaining candidates belonging to the reserved categories, SC, ST and OBC, the cut off stood at 96 which ranges up to 118. Again, for differently abled candidates under general category the cut off is 107 which ranges till 118 and those under SC, ST and OBS, the cut off ranges from 96 to 106. The cut off has dropped by 12 marks for open categories as compared to last year which was 131 out of 720. For reserved category, the cut off in 2017 was 107 and it has been witnessed that the number has dropped by 11 marks.

In 2018, 13,26,725 students had registered for CBSE NEET out of which 5,80,648 were boys and 7,46,076 were girls. 6,34,897 candidates have qualified in the open category. Kalpana Kumari has secured the All India Rank 1 in NEET UG 2018 with 99.99 percentile. As CBSE has announced the NEET 2018 results, the Medical Council of India (MCI) will begin with their counselling procedure and the notification will be released on the official website soon.
