New Delhi, August 28: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) closed the registration process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018 on Tuesday, August 27. However, the last date to submit the application fees is August 30 (Thursday) before 3.30 pm, as per a note flashing on the  official website. The exam will be held on December 9.

The eligibilty criteria for the CTET has recently been revised by the CBSE. Candidates who have qualified B. Ed can apply in both Paper I and II.  Earlier, such students were allowed to submit application for Paper-II.

If a candidate wishes to apply for Paper I, the candidate can do it during correction period which is extended till September 15. The correction period will start from September 6, 2018.

Union Human Resource Development minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted that,"CTET examination will be conducted in all Indian languages in all Indian languages as was being conducted earlier. I have already directed @cbseindia29 to conduct examination in all the 20 languages as was being done earlier," Javadekar tweeted.

CTET will be conducted in 22 languages in 92 cities all over India. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website — ctet.nic.in.
