The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the answer keys for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on the official website; ctet.nic.in. Those who have appeared in the December 9 examination, can check their OMR answer sheet and CBSE’s responses online till December 30, 5:00 pm. According to the released statement, the candidates are allowed to challenge the answer key through the online facility provided by the board. Now as the answer keys are finally out, students are all speculating about the result date and the next stage of the recruitment process; which is counselling. Looking at the traditions, CBSE is expected to release the result within six weeks from the date of conduct of the examination, which hints end of January or early February 2019. Although the exam result date has not been made official yet. Hence, students are advised to keep a check on the official portal of CBSE CTET. The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo, CTET counselling which is scheduled to be held on February 27, before the final selection. Meanwhile, students can challenge the answer keys by submitting a fee of Rs. 1,000 through debit or credit card which is non-refundable. Only, if the board accepts the challenge, the fee shall be refunded to the candidates into the same credit or debit card. CTET qualifiers can apply for various teaching jobs nationwide for classes 1 to 8. This year, CBSE hosted the exam for around 17 lakh candidates at 2,144 exam centres in 92 cities across the state.
