CBSE Class XII Topper Meghna Srivastava Scores 99.8% says, she ‘Never Counted the Number of Hours’
Topper Meghna studied Arts in Step by Step School and secured 99.8 percent marks this year. The pass percentage of girls are more with 88.31 percent than boys who secured 78.99 percent.
It’s a time for celebration for all the candidates who successfully cleared the class 12th board exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Over 11 lakh students sat for the class 12 examination in 2018. Meghna Srivastava who hails from Noida, Uttar Pradesh tops the CBSE class XII exams 2018 scoring 499 out of 500 marks. Topper Meghna studied Arts in Step by Step School and secured 99.8 percent marks this year. After much controversies related to paper leak and retest; CBSE students struggled hard and performed better than previous year as there is a slight 1 percent increase in pass percentage with 83.01 percent.
“There is no secret, you just have to work hard and be consistent throughout the year. I never counted the number of hours I studied. My teachers and parents have been really helpful. They never pressurised me,” said Meghna Srivastava, CBSE All India Class 12 topper.
Just one mark behind her, another arts student Anoushka Chandra from Uttar Pradesh got 498 marks and becomes second in CBSE class XII exams 2018. Rajasthan’s Chahat Bodraj again an arts student scored 497 marks and becomes third ranker in CBSE class 12th examinations. Who said it’s tough to score in theories? These three girls definitely stand as an inspiration to al the future CBSE candidates. On the other hand, the pass percentage of girls are more with 88.31 percent than boys who secured 78.99 percent.
Not just this, the Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar informed that government schools and government aided schools scored more than the average result. He added, “It shows quality of govt schools improving.” In the differently-abled category, A Vijay Ganesh from Palakkad in Kerala becomes the national topper with 492 marks followed by Pooja Kumari with 489 marks and the pass percentage for this category is 87.52 percent. Many congratulations to all the students for scoring mind-blowing marks! And class 10 students be ready as CBSE is expected to announce the results by next week.
