CBSE Class 9 & 11 Registration Process Begins! Apply Online Before October 22 at cbse.nic.in
It is important to note that the schools have been recommended to offer subjects permitted by the board; otherwise, CBSE will take rightful actions against the school which lead to cancellation of candidature of such students.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the registration window for regular class 9 and 11 students for the academic session 2018-19 on the official website; cbse.nic.in. All the affiliated schools can register themselves before proceeding for online registration. As per the notification, the last date to complete the procedure is October 22. Further, it is important to note that the schools have been recommended to offer subjects permitted by the board; otherwise, CBSE will take rightful actions against the school which lead to cancellation of candidature of such students. The circular reads, “Newly affiliated schools should contact the concerned Regional Office of the CBSE for obtaining password after which schools are advised to change the password for future use and keep it confidential to avoid misuse. Keeping the password safely shall be the responsibility of the school.” In its notice, CBSE clarified that the ‘Aadhaar Number’ is not required for online registration. Aadhaar Not Mandatory for School and College Admissions, Boards Like CBSE and Competitive Exams Like NEET.
Documents Necessary to Apply:
CBSE has stuck to its decision, and in the online registration for class 9 and 11 students, the board did not make Aadhaar Card Number mandatory. However, the Aadhaar number field has been provided. Students who do not have the same, may enter their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other government valid identity. On the other hand, in respect of foreign nationals, passport number can be provided. If passport number is not available, Social Security Number/ ID Number issued by that Foreign Country should be mentioned.
Schools Should Ensure the Following While Registration:
1. The spelling of student, mother’s and father’s name is correct, and according to Admission and Withdrawal Register maintained by the school.
2. Date of Birth as per Admission & Withdrawal Register maintained by the school.
3. Subject combinations are correct and are as per Scheme of Studies.
4. Subject codes are correct (fill the subject as offered by the school)
5. Selection of Hindi—A, Hindi—B and Urdu etc. in Class—9 be done cautiously
6. Selection of Hindi (Core), Hindi (Elective), English (Core), English (Elective), Sanskrit (Core), Sanskrit (Elective), Urdu (Core), Urdu (Elective) etc. in Class 11 be done carefully.
Application Fee:
For registration, the students will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 150. Students with disabilities will get exemptions. According to the notice, the students can pay application fee till October 22. If they miss the deadline, they can finish the procedure by till October 30 with a late fee of Rs. 500, Rs. 1,000 Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 5,00, from October 31 to November 12, November 13 to November 20 and November 21 to November 28, respectively.
