The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began with their registration process for class 9 and class 11 from October 1. As per the earlier schedule, the applications were to close on October 22 for the 2018-19 academic session. However, the board has now extended its registrations for the regular students till October 30 without any late fee. In any case, if the schools miss the deadline, they can still register but with a late Rs. 1,000 till November 12. Those who are yet to register, can do it online on the official website; cbse.nic.in. CBSE Allows Affiliated Schools to Register 45 Students per Section of Class 9, 11 For 2018-19 Session.
According to the release notification, the schools have been advised to offer subjects permitted by the board only. Otherwise, CBSE will take action against the school which will lead to cancellation of candidature of such students. Hence, the schools must be cautious while filling the registrations for the upcoming academic session. The registration fee before the deadline for schools in India is Rs. 150 and for class 9 in a school abroad is Rs. 250 and for class 11 it is Rs. 300. Besides, if registration is done between November 21 to 28, a late fee of Rs. 5000 has to be paid. CBSE will give no further extension for registration. The reason cited for the postponement of registration is holidays on account of Dussehra and ‘Titli’ cyclone in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. CBSE has also notified a ‘change’ in the question paper pattern for all the students. If you choose English as the medium of instruction, you will get the paper in that language or medium only.
