Panic gripped in students as the Central Board of Education (CBSE) announced re-examination of Class 10 Math paper and Class 12 Economics. The notification has been shared on the official website of CBSE with the signature of the Controller of Examinations. The declaration has created a hustle among the CBSE students as their hard work seems to go waste. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi steps in to speak with the Human Resource Development (HRD) and demands strict action to be taken against the culprit. As the exam began on March 5, question paper leak has made headlines more than the paper evaluation. Reports of paper being leaked circulated through social media and WhatsApp several hours before the papers are commenced. And the board has constantly updated and denied such speculations.
“We have checked with all the examination centres and the paper was not leaked,” said the board in an earlier statement.
CBSE Class 12 Accountancy Question Paper Leak
On March 14, 2018 Accountancy exam’s question paper was leaked in the morning via WhatsApp. It was reported that the questions matched to the CBSE’s Accountancy question paper. The expert committee was asked to investigate the matter immediately. And the board was quick and later that day, CBSE denied any leak and termed the news as rumour only. “There has been no leakage of the question paper. All the seals have been found intact at all the exam centres,” CBSE confirmed. The exam was conducted in a peaceful manner on March 15.
CBSE Class 12 Economics Question Paper Leak
On March 26, just few hours before the exam it was claimed on social media that the economics paper was leaked. Reports suggested that the paper was leaked, and it was circulated through social media and WhatsApp several hours before the paper commenced. Soon after the speculation, CBSE denied any leak and urged students and parents not to panic. “We have checked with all examination centres and the paper was not leaked. The source of the circulation of this information is not known yet. We want to urge the students and parents to not panic and assure them that the board is doing its best to ensure sanctity of the examination,” a senior CBSE official said.
CBSE Class 10 Math Question Paper Leak
The Math paper for class 10 was scheduled to held on March 28. Students and teachers reported that the mathematics paper was easy and scoring, questions were as per the CBSE syllabus. But it did not last for long. Few hours later, the board circulated a notice stating re-examination of CBSE Class 10 Math and Class 12 Economics.
With the re-examination notice, the students are stressed and furious at the same time. It is a big blow to over 28 lakh students. The board has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the culprit. But students are not happy with the announcement. This what they have to say.
Students are unhappy!
#CBSE class 10Maths paper leaked! Ridiculous! Punish the culprit instead of playing with the psychology of students who were happy exams would be over today!! Curse be he who did it and shame on administration that it remained imbecile as always in preventing it!

The dates of the re-examination for Class X and Class XII are yet to be decided. CBSE in its statement has confirmed that they will announce the fresh dates on its official website within a week. Well, such occurrence affects the examination environment and equally discourages the students. Candidates are recommended to keep calm as the re-examination dates shall be announced by the board soon.
