As per the official announcement, this year, the pass percentage for CBSE class 12 board exams stood at 83.4%, a slight increase from the previous year that registered 83%. What is CBSE Improvement Exam?

Students should not confuse themselves between improvement and compartment examinations. Compartment exams are for those candidates who failed in one of the five subjects in class 12. Again, improvement exams are for students who have passed but are not satisfied with their marks and are willing to take the examinations again. CBSE improvement exams can be taken in one or more subjects, only after passing the Class 12 board exams 2019. How to Apply for CBSE Improvement Exam 2019?

  • Visit the official website; cbse.nic.in.
  • The forms can be downloaded or collected throughout Delhi and Regional offices of CBSE.
  • After filling the forms, candidates will have to make a fee payment to confirm their application for the improvement exams.
  • Note down your ‘Application Number’ and ‘Roll Number’.
  • Follow the instructions on the CBSE Confirmation Page.

CBSE Improvement Exam 2019 Application Fee

As of now, there has been no change in the application amount. Each form for improvement exam will cost Rs. 10. For each subject, the candidates will have to pay Rs. 200. If your application status is not updated, but the amount is being debited from your account, then the candidates are advised not to try paying the fee again. You are also advised not to change the payment mode if the application fee is already debited from your account.

CBSE Improvement Exam 2019 Dates

As of now, CBSE has not announced any dates for the CBSE improvement exams. The schedule is expected to be released after the declaration of CBSE class 10 board exam result 2019. Usually, the exam is held in July, but this year’s examination dates are yet to be confirmed.

This year, girl and transgender candidates have performed better as compared to boy candidates. Girls outperformed boys by 9%. As per CBSE Class 12 board exam result 2019, 88.70% girls passed, transgender candidates secured 83.3% as pass percent and 79.4% boys qualified for higher studies.
