CBSE Class 10th Exam Results 2018: 51 Students From a Haryana School Failed in Class 10 Exam
The principal has been shifted from the Deeghot Senior Secondary School, but the district education officer does not have any power to transfer him permanently.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced class 10 exam results on May 29 for all the regions. The CBSE affiliated, both private and government schools have performed well this year, but in shocking reveal 51 students of Deeghot Senior Secondary School in Palwal who wrote the exams for class 10 failed. Where Haryana boy tops the class 10 exam scoring 499 out of 500, this school’s performance has triggered the state and the government launched an enquiry on the same. And to protest against the situation, the villagers locked the school.
The sarpanch of Deeghot village, Jitender Tanwar was reported Hindustan Times; “We felt ashamed that all our students of class 10 failed in the examination bringing bad name to our village, which has won many awards in the past.” The report further states in response to the poor performance, the villagers went on to lock the school and the head further said, “We had already raised the issue of poor education system in our school with the state government, but nothing happened.” When asked to the district education officer Suman Nain said that she had joined only a month ago and cannot provide any statement on the same.
Nain informed that the villagers would only open the lock once the school’s principal is changed. The principal has been shifted from the Deeghot Senior Secondary School, but the district education officer does not have any power to transfer him permanently.
This year, the pass percentage for class 10 exams stood at 86.70 percent and the exams were held between March 5 to April 4. This year four students namely Prakhar Mittal, Rimzhim Agarwal, Nandini Gard and Sreelaxmi G have shared first position scoring 499 out of 500 marks.
