The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to declare a confirmed date for its class 10th and class 12th results. As most of the state boards have announced their exam results; CBSE students are in strain as they eagerly wait for their board results. Reports are doing rounds claiming that CBSE would tentatively release the class 10 results on May 28 and class 12 results on May 25. A board official in an earlier statement assured the candidates that there will not be any delay in announcing CBSE class 10th and class 12th results. But the board official's have not yet confirmed any dates to announce their results. Once declared, students will be able to check their results by visiting the board’s official websites; cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in.
As the top universities has already begun with their admission procedure for various courses; the results can be expected for both the classes in the end of May 2018. This year, CBSE conducted the class 10 board exams from March 5 and continued till April 4, 2018. On the other hand, class 12 examinations began from March 5 to April 13, 2018. This year, CBSE had to face huge controversies on the account of question paper leaks. Due to such paper leaks, the board decided to hold a retest of only those subjects whose question papers were leaked.
But the decision came as a shock and students came down to the streets protesting against CBSE’s negligence and retest. Only class XII students had to sit for the retest of economics paper which was rescheduled on April 25; the question paper was leaked one and half hour before the exam on the earlier planned date.
Websites to Check CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Results 2018 Online
Once declared, students will be able to check their class 10 and class 12 scores on CBSE’s official websites; cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in. On the day of results, it could be possible that the websites of CBSE takes time to respond. In such cases, students and their concerned parents are recommended to keep their calm and try again later. CBSE Results Expected Date for Class 10th and Class 12th
Most of the state boards including the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have declared their board exam results 2018. CBSE students are eagerly waiting for their scores as most of the universities have commenced their admission procedure for various courses. Hence, the results for both the classes under CBSE are expected to be declared in the end of May 2018. Keeping all the speculations aside; the recent sources claim that CBSE would release their Class X results on May 28 and Class XII students can expect their results on May 25, 2018. However, there are no official confirmation on the same yet.
Last Year Pass Percentage of CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Examinations
In 2017, nearly 27 lakh students wrote the CBSE class 10th and class 12th exams. Out of the total number of students, the pass percentage of class 10 students stood at 93.06 percent; whereas, 82 percent candidates successfully cleared the class 12 exams. The board expects a better performance in terms of pass percentage from both the classes this year.
This year, over 16 lakh students sat for CBSE class 10th exams, on the other hand, 11 lakh candidates appear for class 12th examinations at various centres across the nation. The students are recommended to keep visiting the official website of CBSE as the results are expected soon.
