The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) confirms to release the date sheet of Class 10th and 12th board examination in the coming week. A large number of students writes the exams at different centres across the country. The students appearing for the examinations can download class 10th and 12th exam date sheet from the official website, cbse.nic.in.
Candidates can breathe a sigh of relief as the examinations will not begin earlier than the usual dates. Class 10th CBSE students will be writing the board examinations after a gap of 2009-introduced Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation, (CCE) pattern that will come to an end.
After announcing the practical exam schedule for Classes 10th and 12th with its affiliated schools, CBSE notified about conducting the All India Secondary Examination, (AISSE) and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) in March 2018. Experts stated Classes 10th and 12th board exams are more likely to commence from 1st March 2018. In the year 2017, over 19.85 lakh candidates appeared for classes 10th and 12th examinations countrywide.
According to the notice sent to all its affiliated schools, the practical examination for CBSE classes 10th and 12th shall start from 16th January 2018 until 25th February 2018. The schools have been instructed to upload the practical marks on the website by 25th February 2018. It further initiates to upload class 10th internal marks at the official website between 10th January 2018 to 20th February 2018. The board has also directed the schools to nominate regular teachers for evaluating the answer scripts of CBSE classes 10 and 12. “To ensure equality and error-free evaluation of the answer booklets, the board requires a large number of experienced and trained teachers to complete the whole process in a time bound manner”, adds the board officials. All affiliated schools have been asked to share the data of teachers by 5th January 2018 on its official examination portal.
