Srinagar, May 6: Students of Army Goodwill schools in Jammu and Kashmir performed exceedingly well in CBSE class 10 examination. 100 percent of the students of Army Goodwill schools passed the CBSE's class 10 exams. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared the result of class 10 examination on its official website - cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.

The Indian Army runs 43 Goodwill schools in Jammu and Kashmir especially for underprivileged and those in far-flung areas. Of the 43, three are affiliated to CBSE. Overall, 91.10 percent of candidates cleared the examination across the country. Girls once again outperformed boys in the CBSE class 10 exam result. The top rank was shared by 13 students with 499 out of 500 marks. The second rank was bagged by 25 students who scored 498 out of 500 marks, while the third rank was shared by 59 students who got 497 marks. Just four days back the CBSE Class 12, results were declared, in which the girls had similarly outshined the boys.
