CBSE 2020 Exam Reforms
1. To introduce practical or projects in subjects such as languages, which currently have only theory papers.
2. New exam reforms will be implanted in the next academic year so that the schools get enough time to adjust with the revisions.
3. If implemented, school teachers will participate to allot the practical marks.
4. Practical marks will be increased up to 40 per cent.
5. The percentage of objective type questions is likely to increase as well.
CBSE is currently hosting the practical examinations and is slated to conduct the theory papers from February 2019. The practical exams at present are held in schools, but marking is done by an external examiner delegated by the board. The teachers can have a say on 15 marks, and the remaining 15 marks would be decided by the external examiner to maintain the balance.
