CBSE Aptitude Tests for Class 9, 10 Students; Download ‘KYA’ From January 29
The National Council of Educational Research and Training has developed KYA, and teachers at their respective schools can administer the same.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is indeed taking some impressive steps to develop the education system with less burden among the students. As the board is slated to conduct the class 10 and class 12 examinations in February, CBSE has now introduced aptitude test. The board declared its initiative for classes 9 and 10 through a circular which is also available online at cbse.nic.in. Termed as ‘Know Your Aptitude (KYA), the tool will be available for the affiliated schools to download starting January 29. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has developed KYA, and teachers at their respective schools can administer the same. The authorities will be able to download the test guides, manual test booklet and answer sheets. CBSE’s notification regarding the new initiative reads, “Know Your Aptitude (KYA) will help students understand their strengths and limitations before making important career choices. Students can take the test on a day which will be designated by the school. Once the students are done with the test, teachers can evaluate their performance based on which the board will issue the scoring guidelines. The link giving scores of the students too will be available for the students to check. Meanwhile, the practical exams at various schools are done, and the candidates are now preparing for the theoretical board examinations.
