The online registration date for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 has been extended. All the candidates who are interested in studying Master of Business Administration (MBA) can now apply for CAT 2018 till September 26. The recent move has undoubtedly proved to be a significant relief to the MBA aspirants. It must be noted that the registration window will be open until 5:00 pm on September 26. From the next day, September 27, the authorities will activate the edit options link at iimcat.ac.in for making corrections to the applications (if any) and will close on September 30. The edit option is valid to only those candidates who have registered successfully before the specified deadline and have also paid the registration fee. Besides, the candidates who have improper or blur photographs on the form must change it on or before September 30. The candidates are recommended to fill in the form at the earliest to avoid the last-minute rush. CAT 2018 registrations began on August 8, and as per the earlier schedule, the last date to apply for the same was September 19. After scrutinisation, the candidates can download their admit card from October 24 till the date of the entrance test which is scheduled for November 25. CAT 2018 will be held in 147 cities in two sessions across the country for students to secure their seats in top institutes to pursue MBA. This year’s official organiser is IIM Calcutta, and the final scores will be used by the listed non-IIM member institutions. Candidates will have to sit for 3 hours computer-based exam of 100 marks and answer questions from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. From this year, the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) too will accept CAT scores for admission to its newly started MBA programmes.
