CAT 2017 Result Declared: Check your CAT Score Card at iimcat.ac.in

A total of 1,99,632 aspirants appeared for the exam. The topper list comprises of two female candidates and three non-engineers.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow declared the results of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 on Monday 8th January 2018. Candidates can check their CAT Score Card at iimcat.ac.in. The reports suggest that 20 students have scored an overall 100 percentiles in CAT just like the previous year.  While the number of toppers is similar to the data of CAT 2016, however, profiles of these candidates are different. Unlike CAT 2016, where all the top 20 candidates were males and engineers, CAT 2017 list includes two female candidates and three non-engineers.

A total of 1,99,632 aspirants appeared for the exam, as per the official release by IIM Lucknow, the coordinating IIM for CAT 2017. The entrance test was conducted in two shifts at centres across 140 cities in India on 26th November 2017.

How to check your CAT Score Card?

1. Visit the official website ac.in.

2. Click the link “Score Card for CAT 2017”.

3. Enter the required details.

4. Download and take a print out of your CAT Score Card for future references.

As the result has been released, various IIMs and other B-schools will release their shortlist of candidates based on CAT score and other relevant criteria. The selection processes will continue with a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The IIM Lucknow experts are likely to share their list soon to begin with the selection process.

India has 20 IIMs enrolling nearly 4,000 students in its two- year management programmes. The selection procedures are expected to conduct during February to April 2018.

CAT is conducted every year by IIM and the scores are used for admissions to various Management Institutes across the country. Outshining in CAT is an important component in the admission procedures. More than 100 other non-IIMs also use CAT Score for admission to their management programmes. Students are suggested to stay calm while they check their score as there might be technical glitches because of continuous traffic on the official website.
