Canara Bank has invited aspirants for the recruitment process of 800 Probationary Officers (POs) in the sector. The recruitment of these vacancies will be done through admissions to the specially designed one-year training course leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) at Manipal Global Education Services Pvt Ltd. (MaGE), Bangalore and Nitte Education International Pvt Ltd. (NEIPL) Greater Mangalore. The online registrations will be undertaken on the official website of the bank, canarabank.com. PGDBF Course for Probationary Officers:

The PGDBF course includes nine months of classroom studies and three months internship at Canara Bank’s branches and offices across. Besides, the programme is fully residential during the classroom studies, and the selected candidates must stay on the campus. The candidates for the course will be shortlisted at either of the two institutes—MaGE Bangalore and NEIPL, Greater Mangalore. The selection process will be done through online objective test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. On the successful completion of the course, the candidates will be awarded PGDBF from that institute and will be offered appointment in the Bank as PO in Junior Management Grade Scale 1. UGC NET 2018 Dates Revised! Canara Bank PO Recruitment 2018:

The vacancy has opened for 800 candidates that comprise 404 from general category, 216 OBC, 60 ST and 120 SC. The online application process and fee payment have begun from October 23 and the last day to submit the forms is November 11. After the completion of the registration procedure, Canara Bank will activate the call letter download link after December 5, and the online test tentatively is scheduled on December 23. For the course, candidates must have to be graduates with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (55 per cent for SC/ST/PWBD) or equivalent grade in any discipline from a recognised university.

The recruitment test, apart from the English Language section in the mains exam, will be available in both English and Hindi. The online exam will be of 200 questions comprising questions of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Awareness. There is no negative marking for any wrong answers.
