CA Exams in Karnataka Postponed by ICAI Due to Assembly Elections

The exams, scheduled to be held on May 11 and 12, will now be conducted on May 18 and 19 respectively.

Bengaluru, April 11: The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India on Wednesday announced the postponement of  IPC, Intermediate and CA Final exam in Karnataka due to the slated assembly elections on May 12.

As per the February 8 circular of the ICAI, the exams were scheduled to be held on May 11 and 12. The examination body has amended its earlier circular, postponing the exams to May 18 and 19 respectively.

The following examinations will be conducted on May 18: CA Final exam for (Group II), Paper - 6, Information Systems Control and Audit, CA Final exam for (Group II), Paper - 6 (Elective), CA Foundation exam for Paper - 2, Business Laws & Business Correspondence & Reporting, and PQC - International Taxation - Assessment Test, Paper - 2, International Tax - Practice.

The Intermediate (IPC) and Intermediate Examination for (Group II), Paper - 5, Advanced Accounting, which was earlier scheduled to be held on May 11, will now be conducted on May 19.

A total of 8 examination centres across the state were earmarked for conducting the CA exams. The postponed examination will be held at the same time and same venue, the circular clarified.
