Patna, June 6: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) intermediate Class 12 Exam Results 2018 were declared on Wednesday, June 6. Students can check their results online at biharboard.ac.in. Kalpana Kumari, who topped the CBSE NEET exam has also topped the Bihar board science stream with 434 marks. The other toppers from Science stream are Abhinav and Rudresh Raj Verma. Nidhi Sinha is the Commerce topper.

Over 12 lakh students from Bihar sat for the BSEB class 12 intermediate exam at 1,384 centres across the state. There has been a 15 per cent rise in pass percentage of Science than last year - 45 per cent students from science stream have qualified for higher studies, 82 per cent passed in Commerce and in Arts stream the pass percentage stood at 42 per cent. The overall pass percentage is 52.95 per cent.

The Bihar government has announced Rs 1 lakh reward for the topper, Rs 75,000 for the second topper and Rs 50,000 for the third rank. In addition to the prize money, the toppers will be given a laptop and Kindle e-reader. Students with fourth and fifth ranks will be given a laptop with Rs 15,000.

Apart from the official website, students can also check their results on other third-party web portals such as examresults.net, indiaresults.com . According to reports, around 1,000 students were expelled as they were caught cheating during the exam this year.

In order to curb the malpractices, several stringent measures have been adopted by the board’s officials this year. The evaluation procedure went under strict monitoring by the BSEB and it was reported last month that over 30,000 to 40,000 students have written their partner’s roll number in the answer sheets instead of their own which was cited as a reason for the delay in declaration of results.

With Bihar Board exam results declared today, candidates can now apply for graduate courses at Delhi University as the admission process begins from June 7, 2018, i.e., tomorrow. The BSEB Class 10 results are also expected to be declared on June 20, 2018.
