The state and central educational boards are currently busy declaring the 10th and 12th board exam results 2020, at the moment. To the results, which have been declared already, many toppers emerged and some stories are just so inspiring for the next batch and the rest of us too. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and the board examinations across the nation have been affected because of the rising number of coronavirus cases. Some exams were cancelled, others were postponed, but nothing stopped students from performing well, and the passing percentages are proof. Aside from the toppers, there are also some stories that, once again, proved that even if with limited resources, you can score well. Prakash Fulwariya, a labourer’s son in Rajasthan, scored 99.2 percent in the state board exams. Again, Nandita Harpal, daughter of domestic help and tailor in Jharkhand, topped JAC 12th board exams by scoring 83.8 percent. UP Farmer’s Son, Anurag Tiwari Scores 98.2% in CBSE 12th Exams

Anurag Tiwari, from Sarasan village in Lakhimpur district, Uttar Pradesh, scored 95 in Mathematics, 97 in English, 99 in Political Science and a full 100, both in History and Economy. The Humanities student of CBSE, scored 98.2% in his class 12 exams and now set to pursue higher studies in Economics in Cornell University. Yes, he paved the way for the ‘Cornell Dream,’ scoring 1,370 marks in his Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), which is used for admissions to major colleges in the US in December, 2019. His father is a farmer and mother, a homemaker, would have gone to Cornell University in August, but because of the current travel and visa restrictions, he expects to begin this new journey by February, 2021.

Nandita Haripal, Daughter of Domestic Help, Scores 83.8% in JAC 12th Exams

Nandita Haripal, daughter of domestic help and a tailor in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur city, topped the Arts Stream of JAC class 12 board exams, scoring 83.8%. In an interview with ANI, she said that her parents always supporter her and never let their financial difficulties come in the way of her studies. The young girl wants to study journalism and excel in the career.

Labourer’s Son, Prakash Fulwariya Scores 99.20% in RBSE 12th Exams

Prakash Fulwariya, a student from Barmer, Rajasthan, made his village proud with a score of 496 marks out of 500 marks, in RBSE 12th Arts Stream exams. With a score of 99.20%, Prakash wishes to prepare for Civil Services and aspires to improve the condition of his village from where he belongs. There is electricity and water shortage problem in the village and Prakash said that he used to study in the light of his mobile phone in the evening, and most often under a need tree, when it was too hot during the day. A son of a labourer, his father, is sole earning member in his family and he is responsible for Prakash and his four other siblings. His mother is a homemaker.

Daughter of Small-Cloth Trader, Riya Jain, Scores 96.7% in UP Board Exam

Riya Jain, topped the UP 10th board exams this year with 580 marks, making it 96.7%. The 15-year-old student scored 99 in Science, 98 in Mathematics, English and Social Science, 90 in Hindi, and 97 in Drawing. Her father has a small trade of making ‘Mata ki chunri,’ and the family belongs to Hilawari village of Baghpat. She wants to pursue English in higher studies and aspires to become a professor.

These students and their achievements prove that, if there is a will, there is always a way. We hope that these students continue to make their families proud and eventually, achieve their dreams. Their performance is a great example for the upcoming batch and also many, who might be in similar circumstances, but never let anything stop from working hard.
