Bihar School Examination Board Bans Shoes & Socks Inside The Class 10th Examination Centres
The Board has banned from wearing socks and shoes while writing the exam to prevent cheating. Only slippers will be allowed inside the exam halls.
Mass cheating has been quite a strain for the authorities all over the country and the ways to curb them has never failed to make headlines. A stringent step has been taken by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) as the Class 10th matriculation exam begins. The Board has barred students to wear socks and shoes to the examination centres. Only slippers will be allowed inside the exam halls. Nearly 1.7 million candidates have appeared for the exam across 1,426 centres. But the Board officials has banned from wearing socks and shoes while writing the exam to prevent cheating.
The authorities have confirmed this strict measure to stop students from sneaking notes with answers into the exam hall. The rules have come into effect from February 21 when the students will appear for their coveted Class 10th board exams. According to various reports, the students are no less cheating in exams. This is not a great news for those wicked adolescents as they will be searched before they enter the exam hall and they will be monitored by video while answering the questions in the exam. On February 17, nearly 1000 students were expelled for cheating during the Class 12th examinations in Bihar.
Mass cheating has been reported in the state for many years now and measures to restrict them have never been overlooked. In 2016, the state had announced measures such as fines and jail terms to stop cheating in school exams. As per media reports, a 17-year-old from the state was arrested after she was suspected of cheating. Again in 2013, more than 1,600 students were expelled for cheating in school. Last year full sleeve shirts were not allowed in the examination halls.
