BHEL Recruitment via GATE 2018 Application Process Begins: Online Forms for Engineer Trainees Post Available at careers.bhel.in

The recruitment for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) via Gate 2018 has begun today on the official career website careers.bhel.in. The application process is for recruitment of Engineer Trainees on the basis of GATE 2018 score. BHEL has vacancies for 30 Engineer Trainees from Mechanical discipline and 20 Engineer Trainees from Electrical stream.

The earlier schedule of the application process was to begin from January 9, 2018. However, the online submissions have commenced today and will go on till March 12, 2018. The payment option will close on March 13.

The candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on their GATE 2018 score and previous academic records. Once selected the candidate will have to go through an interview round for the final selection. On final selection, the candidates will be presented with a service agreement bond of  Rs. 2 Lakh to serve the company for 3 years after successful completion of training.

  • Visit the official website - https://careers.bhel.in
  • Click on the notification that reads, Recruitment of Engineer Trainees - GATE 2018 / इंजीनियर प्रशिक्षणार्थियों की भर्तीगेट-2018
  • Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab
  • A form will open. Fill in your details, pay the online fee to complete the application process
  • Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further referenceCandidates have to pay a processing fee of Rs. 300. SC/ST/PWD/EXSM applicants are exempted from paying the processing fee.

Eligibility Criteria for  BHEL Recruitment via GATE 2018 

  • Candidates applying for BHEL Recruitment via GATE 2018 for the post of Engineer Trainee must possess a full-time Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or Five-Year Integrated Master's degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology in the disciplines of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution and should be able to present his/her Engineering Degree and Final year mark sheet as on 1st July 2018 or on Interview day, whichever is later.
  • The age limit for Engineer Trainees is 27 years. The upper age limit is 29 years, for candidates who have studied two years' full time Post Graduate in Engineering or Business Administration/ Management.
