The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has officially scrapped its BCECE from 2019 onwards. According to the official notification, BCECEB will now no more be conducting the entrance examination for the state candidates. The news has come in a blow to the engineering aspirants as the notice means that the admissions at the colleges in Bihar will be made based on the national Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2019 scores; the exams of which have already been started by the newly-conducted National Testing Agency (NTA). It is similar for the medical aspirants as well, and the state candidates will have to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019. Through the official notice which has been circulated in the local newspapers, BCECEB has thus advised the state aspirants to participate in the JEE Main 2019 and NEET 2019 exam if they wish to take admission in engineering and medical colleges in the state. Bad News for Students Who Didn’t Apply for JEE Main & NEET 2019
The newly-built is at present conducting the JEE Main 2019 examination in which the registered candidates are participating in an online mode. However, many students are waiting for BCECE 2019 applications and did not apply for the national-level entrance examinations for various reasons. And the case is very similar to the medical aspirants of Bihar. Those who did not apply for the above tests and waiting for BCECE 2019, will lose a year.
NEET UG 2019 application procedure is done, and the examination will be conducted on May 5. For medical aspirants in Bihar, they are at a loss. Meanwhile, JEE Main 2019 will be held in April again for students who lost their first chance to appear in the January 2019 session by NTA. There is still hope for the candidates seeking admission in the Bihar engineering colleges as they can apply for the JEE Main April exam from February 8 to March 7.
BCECEB is constituted under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. The conducting body hosts entrance and competitive examinations every year for admissions in various professional courses of medical, engineering and agricultural streams.
