The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has extended the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) basic registration date. The last date which was scheduled on January 3 has been postponed to January 14, 2019. Those who are yet to submit the necessary information can do it now by visiting the official website; aiimsexams.org. AIIMS authorities for the first time have introduced two stages of registration—Basic and Final. This has been done in order to avoid any glitches or last-minute hustle and the discrepancy in the application forms. There is no fee for the basic registration procedure. Only after verifying the details filled, the candidates can proceed to the final registration. Those who are appearing in the class 12 board exams or have already qualified the same are eligible to fill the basic registration forms. The candidates must study English, Physics, Biology and Chemistry at the senior secondary level. After the successful completion of the basic registration, AIIMS will activate the correction window for students to modify or edit or delete the wrongly filled forms (if any). Earlier the modification to the basic registrations was scheduled between January 8 to January 18. But since, the date has been now extended, AIIMS will also share the new schedule for the modification procedure soon. Again, the final registration process is scheduled to begin from February 21 to March 12. As of now, the final stage of application dates remains the same. AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam will be conducted for admissions to the courses offered in New Delhi, Bathinda, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Deogarh, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Kalyani, Mangalagiri, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rae Bareli, Rishikesh and Telangana.
