Mumbai, July 8: In what is believed to be a stroke of luck, a 22-year-old student from Bengaluru, Aditya Paliwal, has landed a job at Google with a staggering pay package of Rs 1.2 crore per annum. According to a report by TOI, Aditya, a student of the International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIIT-B) will now be working with tech giant Google’s Artificial Intelligence research wing in New York.

The 22-year will start working with the tech giant in New York from July 16. Aditya, a student of integrated MTech will be receiving his convocation certificate during IIIT-B’s 18th convocation ceremony on Sunday. Reports inform that the boy shot to limelight when Google conducted a test for their research in Artificial Intelligence technology.

Aditya, who is originally from Mumbai, was one of the 50 students selected from a pool of 6,000 participants from across the world. “I got the offer in March and I was waiting for it. I’m really happy and I hope to learn as many things as I can during my tenure at Google,” Aditya told TOI.

When asked his five-year-long stay in Bengaluru, he said that overall, it was a very good experience and his teachers encouraged him to do better and also supported the innovative ideas. Aditya also mentioned that his seniors also played a crucial role in his achievement.

According to a report by TOI, Aditya was also one of the finalists of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in 2017-2018, which is one of the prestigious competitions for computer language coding enthusiasts.
