New Delhi, Jun 29: Metro services in the national capital were disrupted on Friday morning after an injured peacock appeared on tracks of Model Town Metro station.

The peacock came on tracks at around 9:15 am, after which Delhi Metro services were affected for half an hour. The injured peacock was later handed over to Wildlife SOS officials.

Metro services in the route resumed at 10:18 am, reported news agency ANI. Meanwhile, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's non-executive employees are going on strike from June 30.
