Delhi-Dehradun National Highway Rape Case: Woman Gang-Raped in Moving Car, Child Thrown Away in Uttar Pradesh

According to a complaint lodged by the victim, she was lured by one of the accused RK Mehata on the condition of giving her a job.

Muzaffarnagar, May 8: In another unfortunate, and a shameful incident, a woman was gang-raped in a moving car allegedly by two men after they threw her three-year-old child from the vehicle on Delhi-Dehradun national highway in Uttar Pradesh. According to a PTI report, the child was immediately rushed to the hospital, and is out of danger now. The woman was later dropped from the car in Chapar area on the highway.

According to a complaint lodged by the victim, she was lured by one of the accused RK Mehata on the condition of giving her a job. She was raped by Mehata and his friend after they gave her some alcoholic drink laced with sedatives. Post gaining her consciousness, she went ,and lodged a complaint.

Last month, a minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by a group of three people in a moving car in the city of Greater Noida. While she was returning home after her school, during noon, she was offered a lift by a group of three people. There, the minor girl was subjected to rape, that too in a moving vehicle.As per a police official, one of the three was a classmate of the victim, whereas another one was a distant relative. The increase in incidents of crimes against women and minor makes us wonder, the safety of the nation.
