As per an NDTV report, in a letter to AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria, the RDA alleged that Kumar had slapped the doctor, in front of the attendees, nursing staff and colleagues and that the resident doctor was under depression and had gone home. The letter states about the doctor's misbehaviour towards the female doctors and that there is an atmosphere of fear it has affected the student-teacher relationship.
