The festival of Janmashtami which marks the birth of Lord Krishna is a very significant day for the Hindus. Devotees observe fast and worship Lord Krishna. Maharashtra has Dahi Handi celebrations for Janmashtami where people in teams make human pyramids and break a pot filled with dahi and makhan, Lord Krishna's favourite. The tradition has been going on since years and there are specific teams that earn their record by making the tallest human pyramids.
