Dada Vaswani Passes Away at 99: Spiritual Leader Breathes Last in Pune

Pune, July 12: Spiritual leader Dada Vaswani has passed away at the age of 99 years in Pune. He was the head of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission. He was a cult figure and had massive fan following across the world, particularly among the Sindhis. According to an IANS report, Dada breathed his last at 9:01 am today. His body has been kept for final darshan at his ashram. More details on the leader's final rites are awaited.
Vaswani championed the cause of vegetarianism with rare zeal. He was born on August 2, 1918 and had an MSc in Physics. Vaswani would have turned celebrated his 100th birthday the following month. Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed people on the 99th birthday celebrations of Dada Vaswani via video conferencing.
Vaswani has written over 150 self-books. The spiritual leader has spoken at various venues and conferences at the British House of Commons in London, the Global Forum of Spiritual Leaders in Oxford, the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago, and the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders at the United Nations in New York, and other prestigious places.
