From the overall things searched in India, sports events, movies, songs, sports events, personalities, near me and "How to" all the top 10 searches are listed down in their Year in Search 2019. The entire list of the Year in Search 2019 lists down top 10 things in different categories across news, sports, entertainment. Within these, there are searches for the key phrases of "What is.." and "How to.." In India, the top searched in How-to category was "How to Vote." It also gave a list of things that were searched with "Near me..." Most people looked for dance classes, salons, costume stores, mobile stores.

These are the most searched for terms in Google India this year. Kabir Singh was the only Bollywood movie which was among the top 10 searches. From Hollywood entertainment, more people searched for Joker, Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel. Among the top searched personalities this year were Abinandan Varthaman, Lata Mangeshkar, Yuvraj Singh, Anand Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Ranu Mondal, Koena Mitra among others.
