Cow Safari in Rajasthan Soon: Watch Cows While You Ride Bullock Cart, Feed Them, Massage Them And More

Tiger safari and lion safari are soon going to be old-fashioned with cow safari coming as the new thing in tourism. Rajasthan is planning to begin a cow safari for tourists in the outskirts of Jaipur soon.

Jaipur, June 28: Tiger safari and lion safari are soon going to be old-fashioned with cow safari coming as the new thing in tourism. Rajasthan is planning to begin a cow safari for tourists in the outskirts of Jaipur soon. According to a Times of India report, the Hingonia Gaushala on the outskirts of Jaipur will allow visitors to spend time among 15,000 cows as part of the the cow safari venture.

According to the report, visitors will be able to spend time among cows, feed them, milk them, massage them. The visitors can also temporarily stay at the state-run cow rehabilitation centre. Special tree-houses will also be set up for tourists to stay in.

Visitors will be able to watch nearly 30 different breeds of cows ad will be educated about them.

The safari is slated to begin after Janmashtami this year and visitors will be taken to the Gaushala on bullock carts. Radha Priya Das, in charge of Hingonia Gaushala has been quoted by TOI as saying that while the safari will be free of cost, visitors will be charged for their stay in the machan huts on trees.

The government is also reportedly mulling a bull safari after observing the response to cow safari as the Gaushala also houses about 10,000 bulls.

It is to be noted that Rajasthan is the only state in India that has a separate Cow Welfare Ministry.
