Gandhinagar, Sep 1: A stray cow attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Liladhar Vaghela outside his residence in Sector 21, Gandhinagar in Gujarat. Liladhar Vaghela came out for a walk when the cow attacked him. The 83-year-old Lok Sabha MP from Patan, was immidiately rushed to the Apollo hospital and admitted in the ICU.
According to reports, Liladhar Vaghela's condition is critical as he recieved head injuries in the cow attack. Two of his ribs were broken. He also sustained some clotting in the head, which has been removed, local media reported. Vaghela's family also confirmed that he sustained fractures in his head and ribs.
Liladhar Vaghela, the founder Editor of Banas Sandesh weekly for last 25 years, was a cabinet minister in Gujarat before he was elected to the Lok Sabha. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Water Resources, Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Railway Convention Committee.
