New Delhi, November 26: On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Indian Constitution Day, political leaders have paid their tribute to the makers of the constitution. India adopted its constitution on 26 November, 1948 and the Constitution of India became effective from January 26, 1950.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday in his Mann Ki Baat talk that the makers of the Constitution of India achieved the mammoth task of completing India's constitution, the largest written constitution in the world, in 2 years, 11 months and 17 days.
