Congress Spokesperson Exam Result: No New Spox in UPCC, 75 Per Cent Fails Test
UP Congress president Raj Babbar on Saturday announced a 14-member team spokespersons in which almost all old guards were retained.
Lucknow, July 8: The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) faced a different kind of challenge after result of examination held to select spokespersons for the party in the state were declared on Saturday. Even after screening 170 party leaders through a written test and interview, the Congress failed to find new and suitable candidate for spokesperson's post.
A total of 491 people applied for the post of Congress spokesperson, but only 91 people appeared the examination which was held in two phases. Of the 91 candidates, 75 per cent failed to clear the test. While 22 people made place in the media committee of the UP Congress, only 14 of them were made spokespersons or panelists.

The Congress dissolved the old media unit of the state on June 20, the formation of a new team started on June 28. Some known leaders who failed in the exam are Krishan Kant Pandey, Abdul Mannan Ansari, Arun Prakash Singh, Siddhartha Priya, Sanjay Vajpayee and Doctor Ashish Dikshit. Notably, the question paper was leaked on the WhatsApp ahead of the exam.
