Chennai, April 24: Columnist Thirumalai & the sub-editor of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK)'s party newspaper "Namathu Amma" has been sacked. According to a report on ANI, this happened after an article hailing the ties between the AIADMK & the BJP & lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared in the newspaper recently.

According to a report on Hindu, the author of the controversial article was a freelance contributor, two sub editors, who were held the daily’s management accountable for publishing the content, were removed from service on Monday,

In February this year, the “Namadhu Amma,” a Tamil daily was launched by the ruling AIADMK, it coincided with the 70th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
