Chennai Gangrape: 17 Accused Filmed Each Other While Raping, Took Nude Photographs to Blackmail Victim

Chennai, July 18: In the horrific Chennai gangrape case, where 17 men sexually assaulted an eleven-year-old victim for the past seven months, they even blackmailed her. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the accused while raping took her nude photographs and filmed the incident with the whole intention of blackmailing her.

The victim was sedated with injections, drug-laced soft drinks and a powder. They even made to sniff her powder drugs before sexually assaulting her. On Tuesday, the 17 rape accused have been beaten up in the premises of the Madras High Court on Tuesday. The victim, suffers from a hearing disorder was assaulted for more than seven months.

The accused sexually assaulted the victim in a 300-flat complex in the heart of Chennai. Describing the ordeal, the victim, who is a class 7 student told the police that Ravi Kumar, 66, an elevator operator first sexually assaulted her. She said Ravi later brought two men along who videotaped themselves raping her while the other men soon joined in, sexually assaulting the child repeatedly.
