New Delhi, Feb 26: Facing flak over the accusations of assaulting Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash during a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence last week, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the state is mulling over live streaming all meeting to be conducted with bureaucrats henceforth.

According a top government official privy to the plan, the live feed would be uploaded on the government's website. Both audio and visuals from the meeting would be accessible on the government portals.

The move, the official said, is aimed at boosting transparency in the functioning of the government.

"Through live streaming of official meetings, people will be able to know who spoke what in the meeting, be it the elected representative or officials," he was reported as saying on the condition of anonymity.

If the proposal gets approved, funds would be allocated for the same in the upcoming state budget.

On February 19, the Chief Secretary alleged he was assaulted at Kejriwal's residence by the AAP MLAs following an argument. Prakash, in his letter to the Delhi Police, named two legislators - Prakash Jarwal and Amanatullah Khan - accusing the duo of physically assaulting him.

Jarwal and Amanatullah are currently under judicial custody. Their bail plea was rejected by the court on Friday.

Kejriwal has defended his MLAs against the charge levelled by the Chief Secretary. The party has instead accused Prakash of "acting on the best of BJP", the ruling party at Centre.

In their counter-charge, the AAP MLAs claimed Prakash stormed out of the meeting shortly after arriving at the CM's house, after hurling casteist abuse against the MLAs.

Apart from live-streaming all official meetings, the Kejriwal government is also planning to enable a file tracking system on Delhi government's website. This would allow citizens to track the status of projects pending with the respective ministries in the state government.
