Mumbai, December 5: In a bid to clear extra rush of passengers on account of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's Mahaparinirvan Divas 2019, the Central Railway will run 12 suburban special trains between Dadar-Kurla/Thane/Kalyan and Kurla-Vashi/Panvel sections on December 6. These trains will run from midnight of December 5 for the benefit of passengers for Mahaparinirvan Divas 2019. Dr Ambedkar passed away on December 6, 1956 and since then, his death anniversary is marked as Mahaparinirvan Divas where people pay their respects to the father of the Indian constitution at the Chaitya Bhoomi on this day.
In 2019, Ambedkar’s 63rd Mahaparinirvan Diwas will be celebrated on Friday. As per history, the day is an annual observance signifying the day when Babasaheb left for heavenly abode, attaining nirvana, on December 6, 1956. These suburban special trains will stop at all stations. The train details that have been rolled out by the Central Railway are as under:

Central Railway will run 12 suburban special trains on 6.12.2019 (midnight of November 5/6). The details are as under-
Main Line - Up Special Trains:
Kurla – Dadar Special will leave Kurla at 00.45 hrs and arrive at Dadar at 01.00 hrs.
Kalyan-Dadar Special will leave Kalyan at 01.00 hrs and arrive at Dadar at 02.10 hrs.
Thane-Dadar Special will leave Thane at 02.10 hrs and arrive at at Dadar at 02.50 hrs
Down Special Trains:
Dadar–Thane Special will leave Dadar at 01.15 hrs and arrive atThane at 01.55 hrs.
Dadar–Kalyan Special will leave Dadar at 02.25 hrs and arrive at Kalyan at 03.35 hrs.
Dadar–Kurla Special will leave Dadar at 03.00 hrs and arrive at Kurla at 03.15 hrs.
Harbour Line – Up Special Trains:
Vashi - Kurla Special will leave Vashi at 01.30 hrs and arrive at Kurla at 02.10 hrs.
Panvel–Kurla Special will leave Panvel at 01.40 hrs and arrive at Kurla at 02.45 hrs.
Vashi–Kurla Special will leave Vashi at 03.10 hrs and arrive at Kurla at 03.40 hrs.
Down Special Trains:
Kurla–Vashi Special will leave Kurla at 02.30 hrs and arrive at Vashi at 03.00 hrs.
Kurla–Panvel Special will leave Kurla at 03.00 hrs and arrive at Panvel at 04.00 hrs.
Kurla–Vashi Special will leave Kurla at 04.00 hrs and arrive at Vashi at 04.35 hrs.
The Railway Administration appeals to the travelling public to travel with proper tickets to avoid inconvenience. Chaitya Bhoomi is a revered place of pilgrimage for all Ambedkarites and Buddhists in the World. Chaitya Bhoomi is a Buddhist chaitya and resting place of BR Ambedkar. Earlier known as Dadar Chowpatty, it began to be known as Chaitya Bhoomi after Ambedkar was cremated there after his death on December 6, 1956.
