Burari Deaths Mystery: 11 bodies - seven females and four males - were recovered from a two-storey house on July 1.
New Delhi, July 11: The post mortem reports of 10 of the 11 members of a family who were found hanging in their house in Burari was released on Wednesday. The autopsy report of the family's senior most member, Narayani Devi was not released as the doctors were not sure of the cause of the her death.
According to the post mortem reports, all the members except Narayani Devi died of hanging. No other injury marks were present on their bodies. The cause of the death of Narayani Devi still remains a mystery as her post mortem report was inconclusive.
11 bodies - seven females and four males - were recovered from a two-storey house on July 1. Ten of them were hanging with their hands tied, mouths gagged and eyes covered with cloth pieces. Narayani Devi, the eldest in the Bhatia family, was found lying dead.
The family was not expecting to die and thought that "the earth will shake" and "there will be thunder in the sky", following which they will be saved.
